This game has amazed me and I love it a damn lot. The story is also the best I've ever seen in a game. It's fun, challenging and it won't disappoint you. Like BMM said, the gameplay is executed perfectly. It's so much fun, and the soundtrack is simply fantastic too. I simply love the gameplay and level design so much, that I can't stop playing this game. In my eyes, one of the, if not, the best game ever created. There simply are waaay to many great indie games out there. Who lived here, and why? The sense of mystery is sort of gone now, but for those who have never played it before, and dare to play it without a guide, will be in for a treat.įuuuck such a difficult decision.

Its a journey through a randomly generated land, full of its own quriks, helpful and dangerous creatures, and, although there isn't a story at all, makes you wonder what existed before you came here. Minecraft is one of those games you don't play, but you experience. The missions are pretty varied, and its a really fun game (although its quite hard at times). A really, really, really, really, really, really ^ 10 long but awesome game, which is pretty much Pimp My Starfighter(c).

and it was written by someone who didn't have a clue what they were doing! And of course, the story is just absoulty fantastic! The music is some of the greatest of all time. The different choices of weapons and the experience system is so well done, and overall the platforming is never finicky or badly done. Saving of Curly and Booster to get the real ending gives the game replay value, and rewards speed runners. Posted on 07:15:29 PM | Last edited 09:24:12 AM by BlackMageMario.

Last seen: 3 years, 11 months and 4 days ago It's got awesome music and fun gameplay, but also a fucking awesome story. I've only started playing it, but Bunny must die is pretty awesome and challenging, it has a good sense of humor and style, and awesome bosses.Īnd finally, a cliche choice, but cave story. It has a original mechanic, awesome music challenging gameplay and I like how it takes the few mechanics it has and abuses them for what it's worth. VVVVVV is another great game because I like how the retro style enhances the game but doesn't hurt the gameplay and stands up on it's own rather than relying on nostalgia like Mega Man. I'm sure everyone will be shocked by this, but Super Meat Boy is probably my favourite game ever, because sure, it's really buggy, sure, it's presentation isn't much higher than newgrounds stuff, sure, the last world drops the ball in terms of quality and sure the leaderboards are useless but it's got a great difficulty curve, awesome music, a great flow, lots of content and REALLY challenging, rewarding and fun. The Binding of Isaac: Not much to say about this one. Actually beating that sadistic game is still one of my fond gaming memories.ģ. The Metroid-esque style of the game was great, and solving a puzzle felt like a real accomplishment. La-Mulana: I'll admit, I wasn't able to beat this one without a walkthrough (well, at some parts), but it was one of the most interesting Indie games I've ever played. It's such a unique platformer with some clever controls, clever gimmicks (still love how you need to get that one trinket by avoiding save points), and an excellent soundtrack.Ģ.

VVVVVV: I've replayed this one about three times already. Here's a small list of mine, in no particular order:ġ. That, and I'm looking for some great new Indie games to play at some point. Haven't seen a thread for this (at least, not for a while), so I figured it would be a good topic of discussion.
